Fundraising Update

We do not have exact totals of our fundraising. However, to date we have raised around $900.00 (net).
The Penny Carnival, DAnce-A-Thon and Family Skate were all held last week.

Order forms for tickets for Tale of Despereaux were sent home this week. We are hoping to net about $800.00 from our movie.

Family Movie Saturday

Mark Februay 28th on your calendar.

'Tale of Despereaux' matinee at Park Theatre for Saturday February 28th at 2 p.m. The DSE group has come up with this exciting idea for a movie at the theatre. It should be FUN, FUN, FUN for the whole family.

Popcorn Thursdays

Popcorn will be availabe at school at second recess for the following Thursdays: February 5, 12, 19, 26 and March 5. Price 50 cents a bag.

Valentine's Family Skate Party

Lace up those skates and come on out Saturday February 14 for some family skating fun! Grab your neighbours, bring your your shirt-tail cousins, bring your long lost friends!
Colborne is hosting this skating party for the whole community.

Where: Memorial Arena, Goderich
When: 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

Admission:
$10.00 per family
$5.00 per adult
$3.00 per child

Friday Dance-A-Thon

Get those pledge sheets out. Valentine's Dance-A-Thon will take place during school hours. Popcorn and drinks will be sold. The students will be split into two groups - JK through Grade 3 and Grade 4 and up. Get ready to boogie!

Come One! Come All! Penny carnival with lots of games and prizes.

February Plans

The DSE students have decided to concentrate our efforts into one Week plus on extra event.

DSE week will be February 9-14. During this week, a Penny Carnival, Dance-A-Thon and Family Skating Party will be held.

In addition, popcorn will be sold at morning recess each Thursday. Penny Carnival games are being planned and developed now.

On Friday February 27th, a Family Movie night at the school is planned.

Hi Monique,

Myself and our 9 eager friends are in the library right now! We are doing a little bit of pre-work before our meeting on Monday! The energy is contagious. Excitement is in the air.

Getting Started

Here we are finally! We are so excited to get started on our Social Entrepreneur Project. We have an avid group of kids ready to get to work on 'growing' our seed money. We are meeting at the beginningof next week and then will be springing into action. Check back next week for our planned course of action.
